These terms govern your use of SetBuddies, operated by AscendOlive ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SetBuddies.
You must be at least 16 years old to use SetBuddies. By creating an account, you confirm you meet that requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think your account's been compromised. You may not share an account between multiple people or create an account for someone else without their knowledge.
Groups are capped at 5 members. Anything you post to a group — logged workouts, check-ins, comments, and your health/emergency information if you choose to add it — is visible to every current member of that group, and stops being visible once you leave. Only invite people you actually want to share this with.
SetBuddies is a fitness accountability tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional emergency services. The in-app Emergency feature is a convenience layer for notifying your own group and surfacing call links you tap yourself — it does not contact emergency services automatically and does not guarantee delivery. Read our full Safety & Emergency Disclaimer before relying on it, and always call your local emergency number directly in a genuine emergency.
Health information, medical notes, and AI Coach insights shown in the app are provided as-is and are not medical or professional advice. Consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your training or health routine.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You keep ownership of the training data, comments, and other content you post. By posting it, you give us the licence needed to store it and show it to your group as the app is designed to do. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to post whatever you post.
If you submit feedback through the in-app prompt, you agree we can use it to improve SetBuddies. If we determine it's complimentary, a short, trimmed quote from it may be published publicly on our website — always anonymized, with no name attached, only a group-size label like "Group of 2". Feedback describing a problem or an improvement is used internally only and is never published. See our Privacy Policy for how this sorting works.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this is permanent and removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice where practical.
SetBuddies is run as a small, independently operated service. We do our best to keep it available and working correctly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, that it will be error-free, or that data will never be lost. Back up anything you can't afford to lose (the CSV export in Settings is there for exactly this).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AscendOlive is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of SetBuddies, including but not limited to reliance on the Emergency feature, AI Coach insights, or any health/emergency information shared through the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use SetBuddies after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. SetBuddies is available globally, and using it from another country doesn't change this — but nothing here limits any statutory rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
